The GOP ended health insurance subsidies that have been in place since the Affordable Care Act passed. Millions are now facing skyrocketing premium costs.

If Trump’s health care cuts stay in place, the cost of health insurance will double or triple for people with plans on the ACA marketplace.1 Insurance may cost more than $27,000 for a family of 4.2

Democrats will force a vote THIS WEEK to extend ACA subsidies for three years and stop these devastating price hikes.3

Senator Elizabeth Warren said, "premiums are going to skyrocket in January, all because Republicans were happy to extend tax cuts for Amazon and Jeff Bezos but not tax credits for families who are struggling to afford health care."4

Senator Chuck Schumer announced that Democrats will force a vote in the Senate this week on restoring ACA subsidies.5 Democrats in the U.S. House are trying to force a vote in the lower chamber, but they still need 4 Republicans to sign on to a discharge petition.6

To end the longest-ever government shutdown, Republicans gutted funding for health insurance on the ACA marketplace. Now, Congress must reverse this egregious decision.
