john,

Texas already has a host of anti-abortion laws that have undermined the rights of women and their bodily autonomy. Now, with TX House Bill 7 taking full effect, the attacks on abortion rights have somehow gotten even worse.

HB 7 was designed to scare women out of seeking basic, lifesaving care.

❌ It opens the door for massive lawsuits against anyone who manufactures, distributes, or provides medication abortion, not just in Texas but in other states, too.

❌ It encourages everyday people to monitor and report on their neighbors, friends and community members who are seeking abortion care, turning private health decisions into opportunities for surveillance.

It's the same pattern we're seeing in other red states, and make no mistake, john, the Texas GOP has one goal with this bill: Sow fear, spread confusion, and intimidate women into not seeking the care they need.

Just like the majority of Americans, Kim knows that private healthcare decisions belong between a woman and her doctor. But politicians are inserting themselves into exam rooms and trying to shut down a type of care that has become a lifeline for many women, especially in states that have already banned abortion outright. What Texas is doing today could easily become the playbook for more attacks tomorrow, and if we don't fight back now, extremist lawmakers will feel empowered to go even further.

We refuse to stay silent while Republicans escalate their assault on reproductive freedom. If you stand with Kim and healthcare providers, add your name to our petition now to demand the GOP stop attacking abortion rights. >> [link removed]
