My name is Rubin Kataki, and I am the new Fundraising Manager at the Green Party of Canada. I wanted to reach out personally because December is the month when our movement gathers its strength for the year ahead. It is when returning and first-time donors like you shape what is possible in 2026.
Whether this is your first gift in many years, or you are considering making your first gift ever to the Green Party of Canada before year-end to take advantage of the tax credit, I want to begin with this:

People join or re-join this community because they believe in fairness, honesty, and responsibility. They want a Canada that plans for future generations, not the next news cycle. The fact that you choose to stand with us says a great deal about your values. We do not take that lightly. Thank you.
December 2025 marks the beginning of our Year-End Campaign! A national election was narrowly avoided this fall, but the closeness of the vote showed how fragile this government is. We expect multiple by-elections by spring 2026, and a national election could happen at any moment.
We cannot face that future unprepared.
We need to begin 2026 without debt and with the resources to elect more Green MPs.
Our goal this month is ambitious, and it must be.
Our December goal is to raise one million dollars.
Last December, during a quieter political moment, Greens contributed $719,000. This year, with higher polling and national attention, we believe we can build the foundation we need for 2026.
Since April, we have reduced our one-million-dollar debt to less than $400,000. This December, I am asking you to help close that final gap and enter 2026 debt-free.
Your 2025 year-end donation makes possible:
- Eliminating the remaining Party debt before 2026.
- Strengthening our preparedness to elect more Green MPs across Canada.
- Supporting our work on fair taxation, including a wealth tax.
- Advancing affordable housing solutions and a climate-safe future.
- Preparing for early by-elections.
- Expanding our capacity to respond to fast-moving political events.
- Reaching more Canadians with a message rooted in honesty and hope.
