Last week, a Senate committee held a hearing on Maria’s bill to permanently protect America’s last roadless forests from logging, mining, and corporate development.

But, momentum can slip fast – and opponents of the Roadless Rule are still pushing hard to dismantle these protections. We need to show that the strong grassroots support behind Maria’s legislation is stronger than ever.

These wild places are irreplaceable. Let’s protect them for good.

This week, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee held a hearing to consider advancing my legislation to permanently codify the Roadless Rule – protections I have been fighting for over two decades to defend.

The Roadless Rule safeguards more than 45 million acres of America’s last untouched national forests from logging, mining, and destructive roadbuilding. That includes over 5 million acres right here in Washington, where these wild lands protect clean drinking water, endangered wildlife habitat, outdoor recreation, and the natural heritage we want to pass on to future generations.

But these protections are under threat again. The Trump administration has pushed to eliminate the Roadless Rule entirely – opening the door for corporate interests to carve up our forests, auction them off, and erase places that can never be replaced.

That’s why the Roadless Area Conservation Act must move forward. And, we cannot let it stall in the Senate. We need a resurgence of grassroots support behind this bill to show Congress that Americans overwhelmingly want these lands protected, not sold off for short-term profit.

Will you add your name today and help me push this fight over the finish line? [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]

From protecting clean water and salmon habitat, to supporting recreation economies and sequestering carbon, our roadless forests are a lifeline – ecologically, economically, and culturally.

But without permanent protections, they remain vulnerable to partisan attacks and industry pressure. Congress has the power to change that.

I’m committed to getting this done. With your support, we can finally ensure the Roadless Rule becomes federal law – and that these irreplaceable wild places remain intact for generations to come. Add your name to renew our call to action right away. [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]

Thank you for standing with me in this fight.
