People often ask me what kind of Representative I will be in Congress.

I didn’t answer that question with a press release or Tik-Tok video. I answered it by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with my neighbors outside the Broadview ICE facility.

I went there because I believe a true leader doesn’t hide behind a desk when their community is under attack. If my constituents are on the front lines, that is exactly where I belong.

We showed up to protest peacefully. ICE responded with brutality, ramming protestors with vehicles and firing tear gas into the crowd.

We are facing a fascist agenda that requires more than just talking points, strongly-worded letters, or snarky social media posts to defeat. We need leaders who are willing to put their bodies on the line to protect their people.



And I have been leading in this fight before I was even a candidate — canvassing businesses and neighborhoods to make sure my community knows their rights, standing side by side with families under attack, and showing up in the streets.

That is the fearlessness I will bring to Congress. I will take this fight from the streets of Chicago directly to the halls of Congress, and I will not back down when the smoke clears.
