This month marks the 13th anniversary of the Sandy Hook massacre which robbed us of 20 innocent children and six beautiful educators.
This massacre brought millions of Americans to the fight to #EndGunViolence. But mass shooting incidents have continued and the number of gun deaths reached a high of nearly 49,000 in 2021. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have been injured by guns in every zip code since Sandy Hook.
That’s why this month, we are taking action. We are honoring ALL victims of gun violence, supporting the survivors in our communities, and calling for ACTION.
We encourage you to hold a local vigil or other remembrance event in your community this December, during the anniversary month of the Sandy Hook tragedy, to support the survivors who are impacted by gun violence in your community and the advocates who are working to end the gun violence crisis.
