You’ve been hearing a lot from me lately about the threats and attacks made against me from Donald Trump and his Administration, what they represent, and why this is such uncharted territory for all of us. I can’t thank you enough for all the support you’ve shown me, my team, and my family.

But today, I’m writing to urge you to support Katie Hobbs’ re-election campaign. Her re-election race demands our utmost attention — and unfortunately, this kind of stuff isn’t new to her.

In 2020, Donald Trump was taking unprecedented steps to overturn Arizona’s election results. He didn’t like that Arizonans denied him re-election, and he wasn’t going to take no for an answer. 

At the time, Katie was the Secretary of State. Instead of giving in to extremists, she did her job. She counted every vote. As a result, she was harassed, targeted, and even received death threats. The people threatening her did it for Donald Trump.

Less than two years later, Katie defeated Kari Lake in the race for governor of Arizona. But Kari Lake refused to concede, and extremists took notice. The same day, she received phone calls threatening her life.

I don’t say all of this to scare you. I say this because Katie represents the very best of Arizona. She’s spent her entire career serving our state and delivering meaningful results. She’s the kind of leader we can count on right now to put people above politics. And she needs our help.

Right now, Katie is up against three Republican opponents — all of whom would do anything to earn Donald Trump’s loyalty. One of them even sided with Trump after he called for me to be hanged. And the latest polls show Katie tied with all of them.

Like I said, this is uncharted territory. But I know one thing: We’re not going to give in to extremists. We’re not going to give up on our democracy. We’re going to stand up for Arizona — and we’re going to do it together.
