Fellow Conservative,

For decades the Left has waged a quiet war against America. They rejected American culture, American history, and American heroes. And in recent months, as lawful Americans were ordered to stay at home, the Left promoted violence and rioting in the streets.

In an open letter to grassroots America, Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson addressed the current situation this way:

It is fair to say that while conservatives focused on winning the debate about how our policies were better than liberal policies, the left was waging a war against America...

We did everything right. We mobilized to win state legislatures, governorships, the U.S. House and Senate, even the American presidency. We fought to put fair and impartial judges in our courts. We fought to open up American society.

But it is clear those victories are not enough, and are not permanent.

The fights on which conservatives have been focused are inadequate; we need to start fighting for what the left has long been targeting: America.

So what do we do now? How do we move forward? The answer: Project 2020.

The initiative has already contacted over 2 million swing voters in Wisconsin, Iowa, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania about the issues that matter most to them. Specifically, we’ve focused on:

1. Dismantling the foothold the Left has on swing voters by discussing conservative solutions to issues like culture, immigration, the future of work and education, and the economy.
2. Growing grassroots conservatism across the country for decades to come.

America is the standard-bearer to the world for freedom and prosperity—she must be preserved! Protect liberty and join with us in defending American freedom for generations to come!

Remain Vigilant – Monitor Congress

While we continue to defend America from the liberal mob in the streets, we cannot neglect the impact Congress has on the culture war. A perfect example of this is a proposed amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) from Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.).

Gillibrand’s amendment is steeped in LGBTQ politics and would require the military to admit individuals suffering from Gender Dysphoria.

Research suggests that individuals with Gender Dysphoria experience severe anxiety at between 8 and 9 times the rate of individuals without gender dysphoria. This presents an increased risk to them and fellow service members.

Our armed forces have a very important and specialized job — to protect our nation from foreign enemies. To do this, only medically qualified personnel are selected and trained for their ability to handle high-stress situations on the battlefield.

But “woke” politicians like Senator Gillibrand don’t care about any of these facts – they just want to score political points and push their Leftist agenda on the rest of America.

The Coronavirus Legislation Fight

When Congress returns to Washington next week, they’ll begin work on a new coronavirus related package, and Speaker Pelosi has already revealed her hand.

Back in May, the House passed a symbolic $3 trillion bill that had no hope of being passed in the Senate. This bill laid out the liberal priorities Pelosi will fight for in the upcoming deal.

Here are some of the liberal policies it contained:

• $915 billion in bailouts for state and local governments.
• Interfering with states’ election rights by requiring states to adopt vote-by-mail and undermining voter ID standards.
• Stimulus payments for illegal immigrants.
• $50 million for environmental justice grants.
• An extension of the $600 bonus UI subsidy until January 2021.

Conservatives need to play defense to block the inclusion of Pelosi’s liberal wishlist. We must also play offense, to ensure good policies make it into the bill.
