John, as people across the world celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela today, the call for justice has never been stronger.
Mandela devoted his life to helping those who needed it most declaring, “as long as poverty, injustice and gross inequality persist in our world, none of us can truly rest.”
Right now, as COVID-19 continues its path of global devastation, the most vulnerable of us are being hit the hardest. And there's a real risk that these same communities - who need help most urgently- will be the last to receive a vaccine when it's ready.
This pandemic reminds us that we have to act together to change the world we live in. And to defeat this virus, equity must be at the center of our response.
