Support the Muni Forever Proposal at City Hall TODAY!

The Muni Now Muni Forever (MNMF) coalition has proposed a parcel tax measure to restore and improve transit service in San Francisco. Grassroots advocates will host a rally in front of City Hall on Monday, December 8th, at 12:00 pm to urge the Board of Supervisors and Mayor Daniel Lurie to support a proposal that can ensure that Muni thrives without overburdening ordinary San Franciscans. San Francisco Supervisors Myrna Melgar and Jackie Fielder are expected to speak in favor of the proposal.

The proposal, called the “Muni Forever Proposal,” is expected to raise over $260 million and will include tenant protections and exemptions for residents on SSI/SSDI. When combined with the regional ballot measure, the increased funding is expected to bring enough money to grow Muni service by 10%.

This event, and our subsequent giving campaign, will raise funds for our work in 2026 to continue our work to secure equitable, permanent funding for Bay Area transit agencies, so that no San Franciscan is left behind due to budget and service cuts. By investing in public transit, we invest in our communities, the economy, and a clean environment.

*DEADLINE TO PURCHASE TICKETS: TODAY, MONDAY, DEC 8, 2025*

Each attendee will be entered into a free raffle to tour the Salesforce Transit Center Trainbox at a later date. The Portal, also known as the Downtown Rail Extension project, will extend Caltrain service from Fourth and King Streets and deliver the California High-Speed Rail Authority's future high-speed rail service to the multimodal Salesforce Transit Center, in the heart of downtown San Francisco.
