VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump loses his mind over pardoned Democrat's lack of "LOYALTY"

The MAGA cult leader clearly thought he was poised for a precious GOP House pick-up, dangling a pardon for conservative Democrat Henry Cuellar and his wife — who were both indicted on felony bribery, money laundering, and conspiracy charges and set to stand trial next year — in exchange for the Texan lawmaker switching parties to preserve Republicans' razor-thin majority. Trump's congressional game of Red Rover didn't go as planned, however, and so he took to social media to excoriate Cuellar for his seemingly duplicitous behavior. "Such a lack of LOYALTY," the wannabe dictator thumb-smashed without a shred of irony. There was a quid and a pro, but it sure looks like Mr. Art of the Deal just got conned out of his quo! [RETWEET THAT!]

National parks fee-free calendar drops MLK Day, Juneteenth and adds Trump's birthday
Donald's latest idiotic transgression serves multiple, revolting purposes: it seeks to marginalize and diminish the African-American perspective, sanitize our country's fundamentally racist history, and blow a very loud dog whistle for an audience of white nationalists who, in spite of the many, many ways Trump has normalized their awful cause, somehow still feel aggrieved. And all while stroking his own insatiable ego, of course. Oh, and when he moves to have Yosemite renamed after himself, don't say you weren't warned!

This Administration’s pardons of convicted white-collar criminals exposes the deep-rooted prejudice in America's justice system

Center for Policing Equity: Science doesn’t discriminate — but our systems still do, and nowhere has that been made more clear than watching rich Ponzi schemers and scammers being pardoned left and right. But these injustices go all the way down to the street level, where low-level traffic stops often escalate into dangerous situations for Black and Latinx people. The Center for Policing Equity is spearheading a new approach to police reform and rectifying injustice through the use of data and science to make communities safer — for us all. Will you chip in to help these “Justice Nerds” work for fairer policing?

Trump considering pushing Kristi Noem out at Dept. of Homeland Security
Despite carrying out the nincompoop-in-chief's grotesquely immoral anti-immigrant crusade with abject fealty, Gestapo Barbie's standing in the Trump administration is, uh, reportedly on thin ice. Former DHS officials with close ties to the department confirm Kristi Noem is on the short list for Cabinet members set to be relieved of their duties in the new year, a claim forcefully rejected by her polarizing chief adviser and noted sex pest, Corey Lewandowski. "None of that is true," he told The xxxxxx's Adrian Carrasquillo. Nonetheless, Noem has her fair share of detractors in the administration, and the rumors continue to swirl. And as Carrasquillo notes, "The president’s views are fickle and often heavily influenced by the latest person to grab his ear." Time will soon tell.

Kremlin praises Trump, says new security strategy largely aligns with Russia's view
Welp, looks like somebody at the Kremlin definitely got Steve Witkoff's message on how to ingratiate themselves with Donald and extract exactly what they want from the vainglorious buffoon.

Nancy Sinatra checks in online to remind folks how much her father Frank "loathed" Donald Trump

This is precisely the kind of noteworthy but ultimately meaningless rejection that will stick in the MAGA cult leader's irritable craw for months on end. You love to hate to hear it.

Trump says he's "disappointed" Zelenskyy hasn't yet read peace proposal
For some reason, one particularly famous quote attributed to Jesus — "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" — comes to mind. We're guessing Donald isn't familiar with it even though it's from his favorite book.

Senate Republicans divided over expiring healthcare subsidies
Hey, remember when Chuck Schumer and eight so-called "moderate" Democrats caved on the federal shutdown last month and got exactly nothing in exchange for reopening the government save for a pinkie promise that Republicans would take up expiring healthcare premiums in December? Well, here we are. Yesterday, North Dakota Sen. Kevin Cramer said he and his GOP colleagues will "clearly reject" the Democratic proposal to extend expiring enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits for three years, leaving us exactly no closer to a resolution than we were when Trump and his MAGA minions shut the government down on October 1. Semafor reports that Republicans are still deeply divided over how to address the expiring credits, despite Obamacare's popularity rising to an all-time high according to new polling. Folks, we must stop sending people to Congress who view healthcare as a privilege, or this cynical, immoral charade will simply never end.

Benny Johnson says he's "duty bound" to sue Milo Yiannopoulos for claiming he slept with "boys"
Far-right provocateur and Russian payroll member Benny Johnson has announced he will be suing fellow conservative commentator Milo Yiannopoulos for claiming that Johnson is secretly gay and his whole "Christian family man" image is nothing but a grift. Speaking on Tim Pool's podcast — yet another right-wing commentator who was ALSO on Russia's payroll — Milo said, "Benny Johnson posts pictures of his children every two days, it’s weird. And everybody knows what went on with Benny Johnson in those lobbies and in those hotel rooms at SAS," referring to Turning Point USA’s annual Student Action Summit. "Everybody knows," he added. Milo then responded on nüTwitter to Johnson's threat, saying, "I know more about your marriage than you think I do, and I have evidence, and I have witnesses. I know who to subpoena. I know what questions to ask. About nocturnal liaisons dangereuses with chaps in assless chaps and about being caught in flagrante delicto at conferences attended by students, some of whom may have been under 18. (I guess we'll find out!)" Folks, the tea is piping hot, and it's spilling everywhere!
