It's December 8th, and the hustle of the holidays has officially arrived.🏃‍♀️

No one is busier than our courageous slate of candidates for 2026. We have an impressive group of Democrats running across the state and you can meet them here.

As of this mailing, 98 Democrats are running for office in Oklahoma in 2026.

In 2024, we only contested ⅓ of state legislative seats, a low-point in a 6-year decline.

But this year? This year, we have already doubled that to candidates running in TWO thirds of seats.

Next November 200,000 more Oklahomans will have a local Democratic candidate to vote for.

It's a big part of how we move our State from being last in voter turnout and show a new Democratic Party engaged with our neighbors throughout the entire State.

Your Oklahoma Democratic Party has moved!

Over the weekend, we celebrated our new space with our State Central Committee and D.E.M. Club members (join today for exclusive perks like our Holiday Sneak Peek!).

Over cookies and hot cocoa, we showed off our Training Room that can house large groups of volunteers, canvassers, phone bankers, and more; plus our staff offices, conference room and creativity hub that's dedicated to rebuilding our brand through media interviews and social media visibility.

New public school report cards and a new economic development plan that includes public school improvement from the State Chamber have put a political spotlight on possible policies to improve our schools’ success.

We already know that Democrats understand what it takes to save our schools and that years of Republican policy have caused our fall to 50th. It's ironic that the State Chamber is suddenly affirming the direct impact public education has on the economy. 

Recently, I hosted Deer Creek Public Schools’ Superintendent on Flash Point where he shared the real challenges we face and the solutions that would make a difference.

Because of the outpouring of support for our 2026 Dogs for Democracy Calendar, we're extending the deadline to THIS FRIDAY! We all know how important our pets are to us, which is why the OKDEMS team wanted to bring back the calendar for one of our biggest election years yet.

As we count down the end of this year, we have reason to hope in 2026. Oklahoma Democrats have the right ideas, strong candidates, and plenty of momentum.
