Representative Matt Gaetz
U.S. Representative for the First District of Florida

Hello, Friends —

Despite the doom and gloom of news headlines, we live in a time of incredible opportunity, in the greatest country on Earth. Now is the time we must work together to keep the American experiment alive, instead of succumbing to the America-last agenda of the radical left. The ever-growing wave of cultural Marxism is a deadly pandemic — one that’s been spreading for years. The only antidote is a commitment to the ‘America First’ principles which have made America great since its founding. We can start by bringing our troops home, reining in Marxist cancel culture, and protecting our national identity.

AMERICAN IDENTITY
We are in a culture war with the left, and the only way to win is to hold on to what has made America great. Our greatness is manifested in our national anthem, our history, our businesses, and our people.

We cannot allow our sense of national identity to be eroded by the left’s constant attempts at demoralization. We want our national identity to stay strong, so patriots who love our country will continue to fight for our country to be the very best version of itself.

I’ll never stop fighting for America. Watch my latest on Fox News HERE, where I discussed Marxist cancel culture, among other subjects.

CHANGE OF COMMAND
On July 14, I was proud to attend the change-of-command ceremony for Coast Guard Cutter Decisive at NAS Pensacola. Congratulations to Cmdr. John McWhite — and for more details and pictures, please visit HERE.

EDUCATION ROUNDTABLE

On Friday, July 17, I participated in a virtual roundtable with Richard Corcoran, Florida’s Education Commissioner, and Marcus Chambers, Superintendent of Schools for Okaloosa County, about preparing our community and our state for the upcoming school year.

In a chaotic educational landscape, we must ensure that our students don’t fall behind, and do everything we can to equip students with the tools they need in order to succeed.

Video of the event is available here.

FLAG DELIVERIES

In an abundance of caution, we will be postponing flag deliveries until we can safely reopen our Washington, D.C. office, which I hope will be soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
