John, I wasn’t planning on emailing you again so soon, but I need to be completely honest:

We’re really worried we won’t hit the target for our People vs Plastic Big Give Appeal. And if we don’t, we’ll lose out on our full matched funding pot - money that could DOUBLE the impact of every donation.

Fundraising targets can sometimes feel a bit abstract. So I wanted to share a recent report that has shaken the SAS team:
it takes so much less plastic than you’d imagine to kill a sea creature.

Majestic orcas. Ancient sea turtles. Intelligent dolphins. Their stomachs are being stuffed with plastics, and big corporations have a growing death toll on their hands which cannot be ignored. That’s why hitting our target
really matters.

With only 24 hours to go - will you donate to help us stop big polluters from flooding our oceans with plastic poison? Every pound given will help get us closer to our target, and keep our oceans and wildlife protected:

I'll help smash the target

John, have you ever wondered, what a lethal dose of plastic actually is? (A question we wish we didn’t have to ask).

Well, dolphins have a 90% chance of dying after eating just 29 pieces of plastic - for seabirds it’s 23 pieces.1  And that’s not taking into account entanglement and chemical impacts of plastic pollution - particularly for seals and dolphins.

It takes so little, meanwhile big oil and major corporations are pumping out SO MUCH.

That’s why this appeal is so important.
It’s our chance to build a fight strong enough to take this fight on. To protect helpless animals. Our own health. And the health of our waters.

John, we’re 76% of our way to our target - and there’s just 24 hours left to get there. Will you chip in today to give us every chance of doubling down on the fight against big polluters?

£30 from you means £60 for us:
Donate now!

This is a HUGE opportunity for the SAS community. To get polluters to pay for their poison. And to win a plastic-free future.

We know we’re asking a lot this week, and if you can’t donate right now - we really understand.

But to all the SAS community - thank you so much for standing with us.
