It’s been truly marvellous seeing donations coming into The Big Give Christmas Challenge. ([link removed]) As CEO of Full Fact, I can promise you that these will all help keep Full Fact impartial, independent, and secure in 2026. Our fact checks are free to read but not to produce, and every pound supports our work at a crucial time. The appeal is already over 90% of the way to hitting our biggest target ever!

With a harmful narrative now attacking fact checking and all it stands for, Google has cut its support for Full Fact. We are therefore urgently diversifying our income to other areas. There's just a little funding left available that can double any donation you make - but only while the match pot lasts.

Full Fact received over £1m from Google last year, either directly or via funds the company supports. These have all either not been renewed, or have been cut altogether.
