Kansas Republicans think they have the momentum right now. Across the country, GOP lawmakers are doubling down on Trump’s demands, vowing to ram through the most lopsided, rigged gerrymanders our country has ever seen.

In Indiana, Republicans are threatening to pass a 9-0 GOP map. In North Carolina — a near 50/50 swing state! — the GOP is pushing a plan to give themselves an 11-3 Congressional majority. Now, Kansas Republicans have joined the crusade, promising to make Donald Trump’s gerrymander their number one priority in the new year.

If Trump’s plan succeeds here in Kansas and across the country, National Republicans won’t need to earn a majority of votes to win the House. Instead, their gerrymanders could expand the GOP’s majority, even if they earn fewer votes than Democrats nationwide!
