Howdy, it’s John.

Long before I ever walked into the world of politics, I was pouring my energy into Wynkoop Brewing Company, Colorado's first brewpub. Back in those early days, we offered pints for about $2.25 each. It was a bargain even back then, but when you’re starting a small business, you’ve got to keep your prices as low as you can. The couple of bucks we got for each and every one of those pints was precious.

But Wynkoop wasn’t just about serving beer. It was a place where people came together, sat across from folks they didn’t always know or agree with, and still managed to build relationships, to work out their differences. That spirit shaped how our team sees public service. You listen. You stay curious. You try to solve problems instead of making them worse.

Washington could use a little more of that spirit right now.

Instead of working together to lower costs, strengthen communities, or protect people’s freedoms, we’re seeing decisions that leave rural hospitals, veterans, and working families in constant anxiety. With so many important fights ahead, we need to make sure this grassroots team stays strong enough to keep pushing back.

That’s why I’m asking for your help today. If you can spare the cost of two pints at Wynkoop — about five bucks back in the day — it would make a real difference for our campaign.
