With the General Election heating up, it’s time for all of us to rally around our excellent candidates to win up and down the ballot and send a message that New Jersey rejects Trump Republicans. Over the next several weeks we will be re-introducing our Democratic Congressional Delegation in a new series called “2020 Spotlight” designed to spread the word about how each of our representatives are working hard for all of us. From longtime veteran elected officials like Frank Pallone and Bonnie Watson-Coleman, to rising stars like Amy Kennedy, Mikie Sherrill, Josh Gottheimer and more, our delegation and candidates truly represent the best of New Jersey and our party will do everything we can to support them this November.
We need your help to protect these seats and flip two more to take full control away from the Trump enablers in the Republican Party. Can you chip in now to help us make it happen? [[link removed]]

With much of the country struggling to contain the spread of COVID-19, New Jersey’s success in confronting this challenge is gaining much deserved national attention. A crisis like this reveals true leadership, and Governor Murphy has been the responsive, caring leader our state needs over the last several months. New Jerseyans are continuing to recognize that leadership by giving Governor Murphy massive support and showing that they trust him to make the right decisions to keep their families safe.
One new poll puts the Governor’s approval rating at 68% [[link removed]] , with even a majority of Republicans supporting him. Another poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University confirms it, showing a similar 67% approval rating for Governor Murphy [[link removed]] .

This week Governor Murphy signed into law the COVID-19 Emergency Bond Act, which will allow the state to avoid layoffs of critical first responders, public health workers and other essential workers in state, county and local government. This common sense plan will take advantage of record low interest rates offered by the federal government to provide the funding needed to keep our state solvent and make up for billions of dollars in lost revenue due to COVID-19. The Emergency Bond Act was supported strongly by Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin, who partnered with Governor Murphy to rally support for the bill.
