126th Christmas Bird Count.

The 126th Christmas Bird Count is around the corner!

Whether you’re a seasoned birder or a fledgling nature lover, all are welcome to count birds, connect with nature, and contribute to vital science at the 126th Christmas Bird Count (CBC)! From December 14 to January 5, you can join in on the longest-running bird count in the western hemisphere.

With a century of history behind this count, our annual CBC is a cherished winter tradition that brings people together while shaping research and conversation work. Everyone’s data provides a picture of how bird populations have changed in time and space over the past hundred years.

Your observations can help improve how we protect our environment. We encourage bird lovers of all skill levels and abilities to learn more about how to join. Happy counting!
