few weeks have seen an alarming surge of racist, hateful, and terrifying
threats aimed not just at them, but at their families and the communities
they fight for every day.
This kind of rhetoric has no place in politics or anywhere for that
matter. It’s destructive and downright dangerous.
And while the words themselves are terrifying, the reality is even more
serious: the Squad has had to go above and beyond most elected officials,
hiring security and implementing safety protocols to protect themselves
and their loved ones.
These precautions are essential with the work of truth-telling and
justice-seeking, but they also pull resources away from the work we all
rely on: organizing communities, fighting back against the rise of
authoritarianism, and speaking truth to power every day.
Yet, despite the threats, the Squad refuses to be intimidated. They
continue to show up for the people, speaking out, organizing, and fighting
for justice, progressive change, and our democracy. They won’t let fear
stop them. And neither will we.

Any contributor may designate their contribution for a particular participant. The allocation formula above may change if any contributor makes a contribution that, when allocated, would exceed the amount that the contributor may lawfully give to any participant.
