JANE IN THE NEWS

🏆 Jane Presents the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award
|
Jane took the stage at Women In Film's annual WIF Honors last month to present the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award to fellow actor Jamie Lee Curtis. The award, which bears Jane's name, honors entertainment leaders who exemplify compassion and activism in action.

Before presenting the award, Jane delivered a powerful message about their shared values:
"What a different world it would be if humanitarianism and empathy metastasized, if there were a contagion of humanitarianism. Tonight we're not just honoring a brilliant actor, but a change maker, a lifesaver, a woman who understands that celebrity carries responsibilities and that using one's voice matters."

🎙️ Living Without Regrets: Jane's Conversation with Michelle Obama
|
As Jane approaches her 88th birthday, she joined former First Lady Michelle Obama's podcast IMO: The Look for a powerful conversation about aging with intention and living life without regrets.

Jane opened up about a pivotal realization at the age of 60 that transformed the last three decades: living intentionally to avoid regrets. That philosophy has guided her activism, shaped JanePAC's mission, and deepened her relationships. At almost 88, she feels more centered and complete than ever before.
🎂 JANE'S 88TH BIRTHDAY ROAST & TOAST
Speaking of Jane's birthday — we're throwing her a proper celebration, and you're invited!
On December 17th, Lily Tomlin and some of Jane's dearest friends are gathering virtually to roast and toast her for her 88th birthday. Expect embarrassing stories, heartfelt tributes, and reflections on a lifetime of raising hell for what's right.

Every ticket goes directly toward JanePAC's work to flip the House of Representatives on November 3, 2026. Plus, all ticket holders will receive the recipe for one of Jane's favorite holiday cocktails (or mocktails!) to enjoy during the event.

🏆 CELEBRATING NOVEMBER'S HISTORIC WINS
November 4th was a referendum on Donald Trump's dirty fossil fuel agenda. Voters delivered a resounding message: we're done with politicians who put profits over people.
JanePAC-endorsed climate champions swept races across the country, with over 60 victories in 2025 alone, proving that grassroots power beats fossil fuel money every time:
✅ In Virginia: All 22 of our endorsed candidates won, flipping nine Republican-held House seats and electing Ghazala Hashmi as the state's first Muslim woman Lieutenant Governor.
✅ In Pennsylvania: Joe Khan became Bucks County's first Democratic DA since 1965, and we flipped Luzerne County Council from a 10-1 GOP supermajority in 2023 to a pro-environment majority in 2025.
✅ In Georgia: Alicia Johnson delivered Democrats' first statewide non-federal victory since 2006, flipping the Public Service Commission.
✅ And on December 2nd: Our endorsed climate champion, James Solomon, decisively defeated former Gov. McGreevey in New Jersey's biggest municipal race! This victory is a powerful bellwether for grassroots organizing, a clear rebuke to the political establishment, and a huge win for our planet.
These victories belong to every person who chipped in, volunteered, and refused to give up on the future we're building together. Thank you, John.

“Climate Change Is Already Costing U.S. Households Up to $900 Per Year”
– Heatmap, 12/1/2025
|
Economists at UCLA and MIT found that the climate crisis is costing U.S. households $400-$900 annually — driven by insurance premiums that jumped 33% in three years, wildfire smoke health costs, and extreme weather damage. These costs hit low-income families hardest.
Meanwhile, Trump is dismantling the very regulations designed to protect our communities from pollution and extreme weather, essentially ensuring these costs will only climb higher.
Here’s the bottom line: Climate inaction has a price tag, and everyday people are paying it. That's why it's critical we continue to elect climate champions who understand the urgency of this crisis and will fight to protect everyday people from corporate polluters.
That's it for this edition of The JanePAC Monthly, John.
