John, We aren’t even in the general election yet, but this race is already Eva vs. Trump. Let us explain why. Eva has always been a Democrat. In her personal life and as a policy maker, she has always valued justice, equality, inclusion, and peace. She also knows that to achieve these in society and in government, we need bold solutions that center people, not corporations. Meanwhile, her opponent — who was a Republican his entire life until 2014 — voted WITH Trump over 54% of the time during his first term in Congress. He recently teamed up with right-wing Republicans to cut Social Security and Medicare during COVID-19. When talking about Trump, he said, "if you don't cheer for our President to succeed, you have a problem". Can you believe it? He is a life-long Republican turned conservative Democrat who still teams up with the GOP and Trump to pass their legislation!! Remember, Eva’s opponent is supporting the same president who uses the most powerful position in the country to lock children in cages and rip them away from their parents.
