I’m Andrew, Ben’s campaign manager, and usually you only hear from me when there’s a big development in our race, like a new opponent or a change in the election forecast. But that’s not why I’m reaching out today. We know Ben is running in one of the most competitive, targeted districts in the whole country -- that hasn’t changed. Today, I want to share our campaign strategy ahead of our August fundraising deadline, because it’s going to take a team effort to win this thing again. Are you on board to help Ben win this race? Chip in $10 today >> You can read more about our strategy here: The District: Utah’s 4th Congressional District is the 4th most Republican district in the country to be represented by a Democrat, making it a clear target for 2020. Donald Trump won this district in 2016 by over 6 points -- but with only 39% of the vote. Fundraising: Based on spending levels from last year’s win, we need to bring in $6,000 per week from our grassroots supporters between now and election day to run a winning campaign. Spending: Our grassroots funds will go toward our efforts on the ground: Setting up field offices around the district, buying supplies for volunteers, and investing early in digital ads to reach undecided voters. Forecast: This is a tough but winnable race. Ben is the most popular member of the Utah congressional delegation because voters like his independent voice, balanced approach, and record of getting results for Utahns. Last year, we showed that with a sustained, grassroots effort and early investment, we could topple a special interest backed candidate and win in this toss-up district.
