Within hours of our national call announcing PCCC’s endorsement of Graham
Platner and releasing our new polling, the story exploded across the
media. Newsweek reported that Chuck Schumer’s hand-picked candidate, Gov.
Janet Mills, had been dealt a "polling blow."

Zeteo, covering our announcement, highlighted Graham’s 20-point lead and
said our poll "captures the vibe in Maine."

Also covering our call and poll results, National Journal told DC insiders
that Graham is fully capable of defeating Mills in the primary.

Then the avalanche hit. Outlets from Maine Morning Star to Common Dreams
to The Center Square, and even the conservative Maine Wire, all reported
the same stunning result triggered by our call: Platner 58, Mills 38.

This is the kind of breakthrough moment campaigns dream about. But it only
matters if we turn it into sustained grassroots power.

Graham’s surge is not just about the numbers. It is what people hear when
he speaks in his own voice.

On our call, he told PCCC members: "The only way we’re going to represent
the working class of the United States is by putting people from the
working class of the United States into positions of power."

Reporters on the call asked him about Social Security. He answered simply:
"I am a firm believer in removing the cap. When I talk to working people
in Maine and explain what the cap is, everybody thinks it’s the dumbest
thing they’ve ever heard. Everybody says it’s just good for rich people."

On reproductive freedom, he told the press: "We should have enshrined the
right to choose in federal law a long time ago. That was a completely
missed opportunity. And the first chance we get, it needs to be something
we put into statute forever at this time."

And when another reporter on the call asked about Democratic leadership,
Graham did not mince words: "Chuck Schumer is a perfect example of the
kind of Democrat who has benefited from the system and gained an immense
amount of power. And yet, for some reason, we can’t do anything with that
power. That is why we find ourselves in the position we’re in right now.'

This is why rooms in Maine are full. This is why a working-class candidate
is shifting the narrative in a major Senate race. This is why he is
surging.

But here is the part no reporter wrote: Momentum does not pay for
organizers, volunteer shifts, or the ground game that can win a primary.
Only people like you do.

If you want a Senate candidate who is unapologetically speaking for
working families, now is the moment to get behind him.
