NOTE: This is the last newsletter of 2025
I'll be back in 2026. Merry Christmas!

Hello, True Texans!

Sometimes the world today is just overwhelming, isn't it?  Everything is upside and backwards, and there are so few of us fighting to right the wrongs.  But this weekend I found a bright spot...

Every year for our scholarship contest, we get about 10 entries.  This year we got 32.  Not only that, but every one of them was stellar.  I spent hours this weekend pouring over them, trying to decide, "Who doesn't deserve an award???" It was a very difficult task to whittle it down to the top 10, but I did it.  Then I sent those entries on to the rest of the team to study so we can pick the top 4.  Those winners will be announced at our Christmas party on Thursday! If you don't have a ticket yet, you should get one now!

Every student who entered received free tickets to the party, so come on out and shake their hands.  They've earned it!

Remember... this party is what funds our scholarships, so be generous!  We'd also like to thank our sponsors, Huffines Liberty Foundation, Nick & Cam Tilotta, George Curry, and Adrian Metzger.

New Endorsement!
This week we released our latest podcast interview, this time with candidates for US Senate.  Check it out here!

And now that you've had a chance to watch it, True Texas Project is happy to announce we've selected one Senate candidate for endorsement:  Ken Paxton! Our Board believes his proven fearlessness will be contagious in DC so that we can finally make some real change.

Fran and I have more candidate interviews on Tuesday this week.  From 8am-6pm, we're interviewing a different candidate every 15 minutes!  Yikes!  After that, our Board will discuss the various races and make the rest of our endorsements to share with you.  Your local satellite teams are hard at work doing the same!

Something To Look Forward To
Plans are well underway for our first Year of the Patriot Conference! It's Jan 24 in N Harris County.  Tickets will be $60 and will be on sale this week, so mark your calendars now, and watch for an email.  The full day of patriotism includes everything in one price:  over a dozen breakout sessions with expert speakers on topics like immigration, H1B visas, the Islamization of Texas, and property taxes... plus a candidate fair, lunch, and even a closing comedy act! Our last conference got rave reviews and was THE place to be.  Don't miss this one!

Knowing that this is my last newsletter for a few weeks, I'll leave you with this to work on in the meantime:

Texas%20Test.jpg(If it's too small, look at it on our Facebook page. You can right click on Facebook to save the image too!)

I've been told we made the test too hard.  Waaaaah!  Call the wah-mbulance!  I got all but two, including being a Certified True Texan, so I got 32 out of 34. I find this hilarious because people disparage me all the time for being born in California. 🤣 But Texas is my home.  I married a Texan who will never leave, and we created a Texan daughter. We've traveled all over this great state exploring its beauty and wonder and especially its rich history.  If you haven't checked these things off yet, make a bucket list for 2026!

For the love of Texas,
Julie McCarty, CEO

PS.  Feel free to share the test and your score on social media and tag me!  I'd love to hear what you have/haven't done -- and what you think is missing from the list!
