Here’s something you need to know about the race for Michigan Senate: My GOP opponent outraised us last quarter, raising over $2 million.
We knew this could happen, John. We knew Donald Trump’s endorsement would open the floodgates for Rogers’ fundraising. It’s a signal to billionaire MAGA donors that Rogers is Trump’s guy. Now the big checks are rolling in. It’s not all bad news. Polling shows I can beat Mike Rogers — and that I am the ONLY Democrat in this race who can. But we can only do that if we have the money to run a strong enough campaign — which means getting to every corner of this state, across both peninsulas, to reach every single voter. Michigan could be the most competitive Senate race in the country. And it’s projected to be among the most expensive. I know a donation of $5 might not sound like much compared to the gobs of cash that MAGA millionaires can throw at Mike Rogers. But with everyone together, your donations add up. We can take them on. And we will win. IF we work together.
