This holiday season, millions of American families are struggling to afford even the basics, and the SNAP cuts passed in the Republicans’ Big Brutal Budget are making that struggle even harder.

Just a few months ago, Republicans in Congress pushed through the largest cut to SNAP in the program’s history , planning to gut $187 billion over ten years.

SNAP is one of the most effective anti-hunger programs we have. For decades, it’s reduced poverty, increased economic mobility, supported rural communities, and improved health and educational outcomes for millions. Gutting this program will be a disaster for our country.
