Teachers are afraid to teach, JOHN,

A new national survey from the Sandra Day O’Connor Institute for American Democracy revealed something we all need to take notice of: 80% of civics teachers say they self-censor in the classroom because they fear controversy, punishment, or political backlash.

The very people we trust to teach the foundations of our democracy — free speech, civic responsibility, American history — are being intimidated into silence. Not because they want to hold back, but because extremists have manufactured an environment of fear.

Educated We Stand is mobilizing strong local candidates who are committed to building safe, supportive, fact-based public schools — and we need your support to get them elected.

With your help, we can put leaders in place who will create environments where teachers can do their jobs without fear, intimidation, or censorship.

Thank you for standing with educators, students, and democracy itself.
