Main Street Momentum
Dear John,
Indiana’s 591,000 small businesses employ more than 1.2 million workers, putting our state among the nation’s leaders in new-business survival and job creation. Coming from Main Street, Governor Braun promised to be the most entrepreneurial governor Indiana's seen, and the results speak for themselves. With the launch of the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the rollout of Power Up Indiana, and key reforms at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, we’re attracting higher-wage jobs while cutting the average incentive cost per job from $55,000 to just $16,000. And with Indiana’s AAA credit rating, these reforms are strengthening our economy and keeping the cost of living low at a time when many states are facing uncertainty.
This week, Governor Braun also introduced his new Family First Workplace initiative, allowing eligible state employees to bring their infants to work during the first six months of life. The fight for life is far from over, and a cornerstone of that fight is creating a culture that respects and supports young families.
I am also proud to report that thanks to Attorney General Rokita, Secretary of State Morales, and support from President Trump’s Department of Justice, Indiana secured a major win for election integrity. As of this week, a landmark settlement now forces the federal government to modernize its citizenship verification system, giving every state the tools needed to prevent non-citizens from voting. Early results already confirm illegal registrations and ballots in Indiana, and but this agreement will give every state in the union the tools they need to ensure only Americans cast a ballot on election day.
As always, thank you for being a part of our team, and please feel free to reach out if there's any way I can be of assistance.
Yours in service,
Lana Keesling, Indiana GOP Chairwoman
Governor Braun Announces "Family First Workplace” Policy to Support Working Families
Governor Mike Braun announced the new Family First Workplace initiative, allowing eligible state employees to bring their infants to work for the first six months. Building on his expanded parental leave policies, the program strengthens Indiana’s commitment to supporting young families as they navigate parenthood and careers.
"Indiana is going to lead the nation in pro-family policy. The parental bonding that happens in the first months of a child’s life are irreplaceable, and our new Family First Workplace pilot program helps parents stay connected to their newborns while continuing their careers. Indiana is building a culture that puts families first.”

Governor Braun Celebrates "Small Business Saturday" in Indiana
With small businesses employing nearly half of all Hoosiers, Governor Braun spent the weekend highlighting their impact through visits across the state. Indiana ranks among the best in the nation for small-business survival and job creation, and Governor Braun used Small Business Saturday to underscore the importance of supporting local shops during the holiday season.
"Indiana's Main Street businesses are the heartbeat of our communities and the engine of our economy. These entrepreneurs take risks, hire local workers, and strengthen the towns and cities they call home. If you're going shopping after your Thanksgiving celebrations this week, I hope you'll join me in shopping local at one of Indiana's small businesses."
