Justice Democrats just endorsed Melat Kiros in CO-01 because we need
leaders who aren't afraid to challenge entrenched incumbents backed by
corporate Super PACs — especially those who do it while calling themselves
“progressive.”

Melat is running against Diana DeGette, who has served in Congress for the
entirety of Melat’s life. She calls herself progressive, but is bankrolled
by corporate PACs. She wants her voters to think she’ll support Medicare
for All, but is powered by Big Pharma.

After decades in office, rents keep rising. Medical bills are getting more
expensive. And child care now costs more than some people’s paychecks.
DeGette doesn’t think she has to campaign for her seat, so we are bringing
a fight to her.

Melat is completely rejecting corporate PAC money because she believes
leadership means being accountable to people, not lobbyists. Instead of
doing what massive corporations want, she’ll support legislation that
helps every Denver family: Medicare for All, Housing First, and Universal
