Last month, when asked about the state of our country’s economy and the constantly rising prices, J.D. Vance said that “Americans need patience.”

Let’s be clear: patience won’t pay for groceries, cover rising health care premiums, or keep the lights on.

Families are already doing everything they can to stretch each dollar. The last thing they need is more of the same failed leadership that got us here, while Trump’s tariffs drive up prices, our economy continues to fail working people, and inaction makes it worse.

People cannot afford to wait this out.

I’m fighting every day to lower costs, end these tariffs, and deliver real relief for Rhode Islanders. But to actually fix this, we need a Democratic majority in the House. We can’t lose this seat to another MAGA rubber stamp.
