Donald Trump is making it more difficult for millions of Americans to afford their lives. Instead of addressing rising costs, he’s implemented tariffs and other extreme policies that hit lower- and middle-income households the hardest.
But the harm doesn’t stop there. Trump is also going after the programs that help families stay afloat when prices increase. He’s stripped healthcare away from millions of people, cut SNAP benefits, and reduced services that low-income families count on.
Trump refuses to even acknowledge the affordability crisis — or his role in creating it. Rather than listening to all of the people who are feeling the squeeze, he’s brushing their concerns aside — and doubling down on policies that will exacerbate their struggles.
As Attorney General and the People’s Lawyer, it’s my job to stand up for Minnesotans and ensure you can afford your lives. I’ve taken the Trump administration to court to force them to restore full SNAP benefits, blocked their efforts to gut services, and protected critical funding that working people count on. But this fight isn’t over — and I can’t carry it forward alone.
