Friend,

The Amazon rainforest in Brazil has been burning for three weeks.

The Amazon produces 20% of the world’s oxygen. Our planet’s lungs are burning to the ground yet Trump couldn’t even bother to show up to a climate meeting with other world leaders this weekend.

That’s right — while countries gathered at the G7 meeting to discuss the seriousness of climate change and offer critical solutions to the Amazon fires, Trump’s seat remained empty the entire time.

From rolling back Obama-era environmental protections and pulling our country out of the Paris Climate Agreement to blowing off critical meetings, it’s clear that Trump is a danger to the future of our planet.

We are living in a climate crisis and it’s time we start acting like it. Sign your name to demand the Trump administration declare a climate emergency and start treating climate change like the crisis it is >>

We’re long past the time to debate climate change — devastating floods, raging wildfires, and record-breaking heat waves are threatening the lives of our children and grandchildren, and unless we act fast, we’re in big trouble.

All the meaningful pieces of legislation we’re fighting for — living wages, affordable housing, good health care, quality education — none of it matters if there is no planet to live on.

We’re running out of time to save our planet. Add your voice to the fight: demand the Trump administration declare a climate emergency and work to seriously tackle climate change.
