Potential Changes to Marijuana Scheduling Under President Trump
In August, President Trump said that he was “looking at” potentially changing marijuana’s classification on the Controlled Substances Act. We put together a fact sheet explaining that Congress must deschedule marijuana entirely to end federal criminalization and ensure meaningful reform.

The Fight Continues to Protect SNAP
The Trump Administration continues to threaten withholding SNAP benefits from certain states. The recent government shutdown forced many to experience what is an everyday reality for individuals with a drug felony conviction in the 22 states that still enforce some form of a lifetime ban on SNAP. DPA continues to lead the fight to repeal the ban with the RESTORE Act in the next Farm Bill.
