I need to make sure you didn’t miss this news.

Earlier this week, President Trump sat in the gold-plated Oval Office and called affordability “a con job” and a “Democrat scam.”

This is shockingly offensive to the millions of American families struggling -- living paycheck to paycheck, working multiple jobs to get by, and worried about how they’ll get food on the table.

These comments come on the heels of the longest government shutdown in history, where Republicans spent weeks avoiding bipartisan work to keep healthcare affordable and stop premiums from rising to unprecedented levels.

Affordability is not a dirty word. And instead of uplifting working families who are battling rising costs and inflation, this Administration is casting them aside in favor of their billionaire donors.

This isn’t leadership, it’s the words of someone who doesn’t know the struggle working families face -- and doesn’t care to know.

We deserve better, and as we prepare for the midterm election year, it’s critical that we flip the House majority and hold this Administration accountable. If you’re with me, $3 or any amount will help hold the line in IL-13.

Thank you,

Nikki
