It’s official: Republican voters in Alabama have selected failed football coach Tommy Tuberville as their general election nominee to face off against Doug Jones.

Tuberville is a disaster of a candidate. He co-owned a hedge fund that engaged in financial fraud. He opposed Alabama’s mask mandate. And he seriously mishandled charges of sexual assault against one of his players at Auburn.

Doug Jones has fought for the people of Alabama and stood with us when we needed him most. Now, we need to have his back.
