A while back I reached out to you about Sen. Doug Jones’ highly competitive race in Alabama, and now, Doug officially has an opponent.
President Trump’s hand-picked candidate made it through the primary runoff earlier this week. Special-interest groups didn’t miss a beat before pouring $3.5 million into Alabama and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s super PAC will spend millions more.
This is going to be a tight race, and I want to pitch in to help Doug fight. Will you help me by splitting a contribution between Doug’s campaign and mine if you’re able to do so?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately and split between Doug Jones and Brian Schatz:
I can’t stress this enough: Winning the Senate Majority this November is crucial.
It will determine whether we can take serious and meaningful action on climate change. It will determine whether we can protect health care for millions of Americans. And it will determine what justices get confirmed to the Supreme Court.
If we’re going to take back the Majority, then we need to hold on to every blue seat, and that includes Doug’s. If you’re in a position to give a few dollars, please split a contribution between his campaign and mine.
Doug has a track record of getting things done for Alabamans and casting difficult votes when it matters the most. He’s a longtime civil rights leader who prosecuted the Birmingham Bombers, and he’s fought for Medicaid expansion.
He’s exactly the kind of leader we need in the Senate.
But spending in this race is in the tens of millions, and Doug needs a big push of grassroots support to keep up. If you can, chip in anything you can spare today.
Mahalo and stay safe,
Brian
