It’s Time for Action
It isn’t hyperbole to say that the next 11 months are shaping up to be the most pivotal in a generation, and the left knows it.
The future balance of power in Congress is being shaped right now as Gavin Newsom and left-wing power brokers attempt to take key congressional seats from Republicans. They know that the American people do not support their agenda. That’s why they’re using every avenue — in some cases blatantly illegally — to redo congressional maps in Democrats’ favor.

California changed their own constitution to allow the legislature to add five new Democrat seats.

Virginia’s new Democrat super majority is poised to illegally erase four GOP seats from their map by attempting to bypass the Commonwealth’s constitution.

Maryland Democrats want to draw House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Harris out of his seat with an 8-0 Democrat map.

New York is using dubious legal strategies to circumvent its constitutional restriction on mid-decade redistricting to net Democrats another two districts.
This is on top of the flawed 2020 census <[link removed]> which gave blue states extra seats in Congress at the expense of red states.
Unless Republicans fight back, Democrats could win the House majority in 2026. And we know what they would do. Speaker Hakeem Jeffries’ first order of business would be to impeach President Trump, shortly followed by defunding ICE and border patrol, undoing the One Big Beautiful Bill and every Republican win it has, and extending the Obamacare disaster for the foreseeable future.
Heritage Action is fighting alongside conservative allies to stop this from happening — but it’s an uphill battle. George Soros and other anti-American financiers are pouring money into this fight to keep Republicans on the sideline. Here’s our game plan:
1. Red states must counter blue state redistricting
Democrats are likely to draw themselves 10 new seats. Simply put, we need to equal this tally and then some. Here’s the latest on that front:
The Showdown in Indiana
After a few weeks of “will they, won’t they,” all eyes are on Indianapolis where the State Senate is set to consider the new congressional maps. This super majority red state is a key opportunity to pick up seats. The new map would add two seats to the tally, but several Senate Republicans have been opposed. On Friday, the House passed the map 57-41, and now the bill goes to the Senate!

Legal Battles
This week, the Supreme Court allowed Texas to proceed with its new map that adds five new Republican seats, and a three-judge panel ruled in favor of North Carolina’s new map, which potentially adds another GOP seat to the delegation.
New States Join the Fight
Both Alabama and Florida are set to redraw their maps in 2026. We will keep you updated as these fights unfold.
2. Congress must pass legislation to fix the census
To ensure that future censuses don’t face the same problems as the 2020 census, Congress should pass two key bills. There are significant issues with the way the Census Bureau is conducting its count — most critically, the fact that illegal aliens are included (hint: this incentivizes blue states to protect their sanctuary cities so that they can get more Democrats in Congress).
That’s why it’s imperative that Congress pass the Equal Representation Act <[link removed]> (H.R . 151), which would add a citizenship question back into the census and ensure that only citizens are counted toward congressional district apportionment. The COUNT Act <[link removed]> (H.R. 5156) would also add the citizenship question back into the census, AND add safeguards against things like “differential privacy” from being used to skew data. The House could pass these bills soon.
The Dangers of Mass Migration
In light of the tragedy that struck the nation’s capital over the Thanksgiving Break, when an armed Afghan terrorist assassinated a National Guardsman and wounded another — who is still fighting for his life — the consequences of the Biden administration’s failures in the aftermath of the Afghanistan withdrawal in 2021 and the danger posed by mass migration couldn’t be any clearer.
Under the Biden administration, at least 10 million illegal aliens crossed the border into our country (that we know of). Most of them are still here. The left claims that almost all of them are peaceful individuals looking for a better life, but the reality is that the vetting process for aliens entering our nation was all but nonexistent under the Biden administration. From a public safety standpoint, that continues to pose an enormous threat.
Remember, in the matter of a couple weeks, the Biden administration imported 100,000+ people from a country we had been at war with for 20 years. At best, only a handful of them were properly vetted.
The sad reality is that this tragedy is not an isolated incident. There are countless examples of brutal murders perpetrated by people allowed into this country under Biden, including the brutal murders of Laken Riley and Lizbeth Medina. Although the American people have a history of being charitable to refugees, simply allowing anyone to immigrate to the U.S. is an unsustainable solution.
In addition to the public safety threat, mass migration can cause a myriad of other issues from economic hardship to social disruptions and culture shifts. It’s past time that Washington recognized this, or else we will end up like many Western European nations that are now all but unrecognizable.
Big Wins for Family Values
On a happier note, we have good news to report out of Missouri. The state’s new rule to prohibit children from accessing pornographic materials online has gone into effect.
This should be the norm nationwide. Thankfully, Congress has been moving to pass strong legislation like the SCREEN Act (H.R. 1623). The bill would protect minors from the severe threat posed by pornography by mandating age verification for access to adult content.
Pornographic material is readily accessible online <[link removed]>. In fact, 80 percent of 12-17 year-olds and 37 percent of children 9-11 years old have been exposed to sexually explicit material while online. Adolescent exposure to harmful material is often linked <[link removed]> to pornographic addiction which can result in dire consequences, including mental health issues like anxiety and depression.
Requiring age verification is an effective and common-sense approach to protecting children from obscene content online. Polling shows <[link removed]> 83 percent of Americans support age verification laws aimed at pornography.
Protect Americans’ Financial Privacy
Congress is set to finalize the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) this week — and this is the critical moment to protect Americans from a government-controlled Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

A CBDC would give unelected bureaucrats the power to monitor, control, and even block every financial transaction you make. Unlike your normal digital dollars, a CBDC is fully traceable and programmable, putting the federal government between you and your money.
This is not about innovation or convenience. A government-run CBDC would allow politicians in Washington to spy on purchases, freeze accounts, and restrict financial freedom, all while pretending it’s for your benefit.
The NDAA is the one must-pass bill where Congress can lock in protections against this financial surveillance. But they need Americans like you to make your voice heard.
