Afghan Terrorist Targets Fort Worth

Tarrant County narrowly avoided another disastrous outcome of Biden's immigration wave this week.

As part of "Operation Allies Welcome," Biden flew untold numbers of Afghans into America, following his failed withdrawal from the country. In the last two weeks, we've begun to see the consequences. Two National Guardsmen were shot, and one was killed in DC by one such migrant. Now we know that one threatened to bomb Fort Worth.

Mohammad Dawood Alokozay, an "Ally" brought to Texas under Joe Biden, settled down in Fort Worth, working and living among us. He was arrested after social media videos surfaced of him building a bomb and threatening to use it in our county seat.

To quote Alokozay: "I will commit suicide on anyone who has a problem with the Afghans...I am going to kill the infidels."

As if this wasn't bad enough, Alokozay's ethnicity is listed as "White" according to his booking.

Our new Tarrant GOP Chairman, Tim Davis, has already joined in the fight, stating in part: "Why can't the government just be honest about this? Republicans across Tarrant County and across Texas are asking for a simple thing - and that's to just tell the truth."

Redistricting Victories

After a months-long legal battle, both lawsuits challenging Tarrant County's 2025 mid-decade redistricting map have been dropped or dismissed, solidifying the Republican drawn precinct lines for upcoming elections, including key races right here in Fort Worth.

The federal case was voluntarily withdrawn by plaintiffs on December 1 with no public explanation. Of course, no explanation is necessary when your argument is entirely fictional in the first place.

Just days earlier, on November 28, a Tarrant County district judge dismissed the second lawsuit brought by the League of Women Voters of Tarrant County and LULAC Fort Worth Council 4568. Judge Megan Fahey ruled in favor of the county's argument that courts lacked jurisdiction and that the map's intent was not racial. The map, known as Map 7 and approved in June on a 3-2 party-line vote, redraws commissioner precincts to create an additional Republican-leaning seat.

Despite what Democrats may say, this is a fair realignment reflecting Tarrant's growing GOP voter base. With elections coming up soon, this is a big win for our party. We owe a big thanks to our County Judge and Republican Commissioners for their strong leadership on this front!

Abbott Comes After CAIR

Governor Abbott's fight against the Islamic invasion has continued, with his sights now turned toward CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

CAIR came after the Governor for opposing the Muslim City being built east of DFW, as they do any time someone opposes the invasion of radical Islam. Rather than merely fight back rhetorically, Governor Abbott has turned to the federal government, seeking to apply real consequences to CAIR.

Abbott rightly states that CAIR is a subsidiary of the Muslim Brotherhood and a front group for Hamas terrorists. This shouldn't surprise anyone, considering that not too long ago, Muslim residents of Dallas went to prison for funneling money to Hamas through a charity. There is nothing new under the sun.

In a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, the Governor has asked that CAIR's 501c3 status be revoked. This is a great move and would be a step in the right direction if acted upon.

We are thankful for Governor Abbott's leadership on this issue and hope that he keeps pushing.

FW Council Raising Its Pay?

Fort Worth City Council is floating amendments to the city charter that have received substantial backlash.

One of the more controversial proposals includes extending terms for members. The term of office is currently set at 2 years, but they are considering putting 3 or 4-year terms on the table. The council already holds elections in odd years, which suppresses voter turnout compared to partisan election years. By extending the length of member terms, the Council may allow its own re-election for a whole presidential term with single-digit voter turnout.

Other proposals are under consideration as well, including a substantial pay raise for councilmen.

Should both these amendments pass, the salary earned by each member of the council over the course of one term would increase by over $130,000. Not including the Mayor, there are 10 members of the council.
