We wanted to give you a quick update on our fundraising before asking you to make a donation to our campaign.

This week, our FEC fundraising report for last quarter went public. And the numbers show that this grassroots movement just barely outraised Joe Kennedy.

While he had lots and lots of max out checks, we more than matched him because lots and lots of people are chipping in whatever they could afford to power this campaign.

But here’s the problem: now that he’s seen our grassroots strength match his max-out machine, he’s going to sound the alarm with his family’s big money donor network. They are going to do everything they can to try to stop our movement.

If you can, please make a donation today to help us fight back. We’ll put your $3 or whatever you can afford to work immediately to mobilize the voters that we need to win.

Together, we’ve sent a powerful message about our grassroots enthusiasm. The media told us that we could not beat a Kennedy in Massachusetts — called it “potentially insurmountable.”

But together, we’re proving them wrong. If we keep up our momentum, then we will win this race and re-elect Ed Markey.
