Hello,

The Supreme Court just handed down a dangerous decision allowing Texas to use
its gerrymandered map in the 2026 midterm elections.

When politicians gerrymander for their own benefit, they weaponize your vote.
This decision is a major setback in the voting rights movement because:

→ It will disenfranchise voters and create a system where politicians can
choose which voices they must answer to.

→ When a map is manipulated to give one party an advantage over the other, it
undermines the principle of every voter having an equal voice.

→ This ruling opens the door for other states to follow in Texas’ footsteps.
We’re already seeing this trend play out in states like California to shift the
balance of power ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Here’s the bottom line: In a representative democracy, the power of our votes
should NOT be determined by how lines are drawn behind closed doors.

Our team is prepared to fight back with action, and we’re asking you to stand
with us. Will you consider making a grassroots donation today to help us
protect your vote and push back against the spread of partisan gerrymandering?

— Voting Rights Fund

Voting Rights Fund wasn’t created just to defend voting rights — we elect the
leaders who will expand and protect them. Our aim is to keep our operational
costs as low as possible, so a majority of our funds go toward doing the work
that needs to be done. That means building a national bench of lawmakers who
will fight tooth and nail to expand access to the ballot box and protect our
right to vote at every level of government.
