The good news just keeps on coming, team.
The Cook Political Report just announced several House race rating changes and TX-25 is no longer a "Solid Republican" seat.
Clearly, the consensus is emerging among election forecasters that Republicans can no longer bank on districts like ours being a safe bet in this election. And together, we are going to defeat Roger Williams in November if we give this race everything we've got.
Here are the facts: Despite the district being one of the most gerrymandered districts in the country, and without any national attention, Julie's unapologetically progressive campaign in 2018 pushed what was previously a 21-point GOP advantage to within single digits.
And in this year's Democratic primary, Democrats outvoted Republicans for the first time since the district had been drawn.
Roger Williams recently booked $900,000 in TV ads — he's running scared. And he should be.
But here's the thing: Julie's used to being an underdog. She's used to people writing her off and telling her, "You're never gonna make it."
We know that there are thousands of Texans who are just like Julie, who get written off and counted out by the status quo. But that's never stopped any of us from believing that change is not only necessary and possible — it is inevitable.
We are going to shock the world in November, I can feel it — I hope you do, too.
Thanks for pitching in,
