Dear John,

The new wave in Black Lives Matter protests has given us a unique opportunity to learn. It’s time to talk about anti-Blackness in our culture and listen to Black members of our community, who are continually erased from the Iranian diaspora.

In continuation of our “Ensuring Black Lives Matter” series, we are are hosting a virtual conversation on July 23rd at 7pm (ET), addressing anti-Blackness in Iranian culture.

RSVP HERE >

Black Iranian Americans will share their experiences and offer insight on how non-Black Iranians can be better allies to the Black Lives Matter movement and embrace Black Iranians as members of our community.

The panel will bring together MoveOn's Rahna Epting , Neda Maghbouleh from the University of Mississauga, Zephyr Williams from Alternatives to Violence, and will be moderated by NIAC's own Assal Rad.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

In solidarity,

Donna Farvard
National Organizing Director, NIAC
