I’ll get straight to the point: A new poll is out that shows our campaign
in a statistical tie for first place in this race. And two of the
candidates we are in a dead heat with are Republicans.

We’ve warned in the past about Republicans gaining ground, but this is
different. Now, both Republicans are in a position where they could take
the lead—especially with the support they get from far-right billionaires
and corporations.

But here’s the part that I’m worried about: In California’s primary
system, the top two vote getters advance to the general election
regardless of party. That means we could be looking at the general
election coming down to two Republicans.

I’m running to make sure neither of these Trump-aligned extremists become
our next governor. I’m rejecting corporate money to build a people-powered
movement that can take on the special interests and win. But right now our
campaign needs supporters like you to have our backs so we can stay
competitive.
