In the modern era, the internet has been an incredible good. Even social media has been a net-positive — but our leaders have failed to adequately deal with the bad parts of the online world.

Regulation is an adversarial relationship by nature. But how can we expect our leaders to levy the correct regulations and rules on Big Tech without even understanding some basic facts about the internet?

Ro’s fighting to change that. On Capitol Hill, he's leading the charge to encourage our leaders to learn more about the digital era, so that we can prevent the massive data breaches that plague American consumers:

Ro's Internet Bill of Rights that would ensure that companies use our data correctly and only with our consent. Will you donate $3 to help us build a national movement that can pass the Internet Bill of Rights?

In the modern era, the internet has been an incredible good. Even social media has been a net-positive — but our leaders have failed to adequately deal with the bad parts of the online world.

Online communities continue to radicalize shooters and people filled with hate to commit horrific acts. Hackers are targeting small-town America and holding municipal systems hostage. Consumers have faced breach after breach as Big Tech companies refuse to honor their promises, and be transparent about how they’re using our information.

We need to do more to embrace the good, and minimize the bad. But first, our leaders need to understand what they’re working with. Together, we can make that a reality.

In solidarity,

Team Ro
