Hi Friend,
It’s hard to believe but unfortunately it’s true that the new Federal budget (HR 1) will rip hundreds of millions of dollars away from Medicaid, a public health insurance program that one out of four of us in Maryland need to see a doctor and to get healthcare services.
Taking away our healthcare is not only wrong, it’s counter productive. We will all be worse off if a couple hundred thousand Marylanders lose Medicaid coverage — people will suffer, everyone’s costs will rise, our crowded ERs will get more crowded, and some clinics and nursing homes may need to reduce their services. Tell us how you, or someone you know, has benefited from Medicaid and may be impacted by cuts. |
We still have time to fight to protect Medicaid because the cuts don’t take effect until late next year!
The best way to fight is with our voices and our stories so thank you for doing the survey. You’re adding to the collective power we need to rally around Medicaid, all of the Marylanders on Medicaid, and all the providers who serve Medicaid enrollees. Our best, The PMD Team |
