Some of you may have seen President Trump's announcement on Truth Social that he is voiding executive orders under President Biden that were signed using the presidential autopen, potentially including clemency grants.
We understand that this announcement is a source of concern for those who benefitted from President Biden's clemency decisions.
The FAMM team is looking into this issue very closely. A President's executive clemency powers are very strong, and there are existing legal opinions that autopens may be used for executive clemency.
FAMM has not heard anything to suggest that President Trump's announcement is an official and binding action, but we will continue to look into this situation and keep you updated.
