Dear John
Too many young people have absorbed the message that constant stress, exhaustion, and pressure are simply “part of school.” The New York Times recently highlighted ([link removed]) our concern over this reality in a powerful article about the youth mental health crisis, emphasizing how school policies and practices can contribute to student distress. It shouldn’t be this way, and it doesn’t have to be. A student recently shared with us:
“I used to think being stressed all the time was normal. Challenge Success showed me that learning can feel meaningful, and that I don’t have to burn out to succeed.”
This is why our work is so urgently needed. When students believe that chronic stress is inevitable, it takes a toll on their mental health, their curiosity, and their long-term well-being. But when schools rethink outdated practices and center well-being, everything changes. Students feel more joy in school. They are more motivated and have time to pursue deeper learning. They begin to trust that school is a place where they can grow, not just endure.
Your generosity fuels this shift. Every gift ([link removed]) helps us:
* Bring research-backed strategies to more schools.
* Equip educators and caregivers with tools to reduce unnecessary pressure, without sacrificing achievement.
* Help students build healthier, more sustainable approaches to learning and life.
We cannot do this work without strong community support. Donations allow us to reach more students, respond to schools’ needs in real time, and continue shifting the narrative from pressure and burnout to balance, belonging, and true academic growth.
Thank you for standing with us, and for believing that well-being should always be at the heart of student success.
With gratitude,
