Hello John,

Join us for a virtual teach-in on the ESCCC roadmap, New York State Child Care for All, from 6:30–7:30 PM on either December 15 or December 18. Each session will cover the same material, so plan to attend the one that works best for you.

Across New York, families and educators are carrying the weight of a child care system that was never designed to meet their needs – a system shaped by a long history that treated care as private, unvalued work, especially when done by women, and more so by Black women and other women of color. Those roots still shape the instability and pressure our communities experience today, and understanding that history is part of how we push forward together for the care and education systems our families should be able to depend on. With the state legislature entering a new budget cycle, this is a moment when our collective voice can move the dial.

Join us to learn more about Child Care for All!

These teach-ins will offer a one-hour grounding in the vision guiding New York’s movement toward a more equitable child care system and will help prepare you to speak with legislators at upcoming advocacy days on January 27 and February 4. Register for the teach-in date that works best for you, and join us and your neighbors in building the momentum needed to finally win the child care system our communities have been fighting for.

In solidarity,

Marina Marcou-O'Malley
