Newsom's latest disgrace

Hi John,

I've just published a new blog post:

Californians have been charged extra fees on their phone service the last six years to fund a "Next Generation 911 System." Yet after spending $450 million, Newsom just scrapped the whole project because the technology doesn't work. Our government is broken.

These were the shocking facts I set forth on the House Floor yesterday. I also offered a strategy for affordability in America: the Anti-Newsom playbook. Since California has the highest price of gas, electricity, housing, water, insurance – simply do the opposite of what Newsom has done.

In fact, we’ve already had many successes in Newsom-proofing California. That’s why I told Bret Baier on Fox News it’s an honor to be "targeted" by Newsom; we’ve defeated him so many times that he resorted to butchering my district. But that won't stop us from beating him again.

Even in San Francisco, notorious for crime and homelessness, there have been major improvements on both fronts this year. The city is actually starting to change. And that’s because we beat Newsom in passing Prop. 36 and beat him again in the Grants Pass Supreme Court case.

I also chaired an education hearing exposing the massive violations of parental rights in California. And I spoke on the Floor about how our warnings as to Newsom’s corrupt education policies are sadly bearing out. UC San Diego says incoming students can’t do remedial math.

In good news, my bill, the PROTECT Kids Act, passed the House, prohibiting American tax dollars from supporting curriculum influenced by the Chinese Communist Party. I also introduced legislation to crack down on CCP-linked bio labs like the one discovered near Fresno.

Finally, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget found our bill, the Fix It Act, results in savings to taxpayers while preventing a massive increase in healthcare premiums for millions of Americans. We achieve this through reforms to prevent fraud and insurer overpayments.
